Energy plants, coal mines, offshore oil platforms, cement factories, refineries etc. are examples for industrial sites in which Diamond's harsh environment connectors are used. High temperature range, high pressure range, humidity, salty water, vibrations are all challenges for Diamond's harsh environment connectors.

IP protected connector bodies up to IP 67, channel range from 1 to 24, direct or indirect ferrule contact, alberino or standard connector based connector, Diamond connectors are strong, reliable, optically performing and customizable.

Among our recent innovations:

- Diamond's titanium ferrule has been developed to face new challenges, required by harsh environment applications. More resistant against corrosion, humidity and temperature ranges, this new ferrule is compliant with the Extreme Environment category for optical interfaces.

Diamond's Shark technology is also used in connectors such as Alberino CRA and MIL 38999 connectors.

- Diamond's Shark technology enables Diamond to develop customized connector inserts with one or more FO channels and to place them in existing hybrid connectors (e.g. with electric gas, fluid and/or other kinds of connections). Based on Diamond's famous alberini, faulty FO connections can easily be removed and replaced in the field in only a few minutes with Diamond's Zeus splicing kit.
